Continuing with our Nikita interviews from New York Comic Con, we have our talk with Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass, Desperate Housewives), who plays opposite Maggie Q as assassin trainee Alex on the show.

If you’ve been watching, you may have noticed that her character has been getting bolder and bolder with her spy tactics as the season progresses and Lyndsy lets us know if that will blow up in her face or not. On the question of if Alex and Thom are developing a love interest, she believes that there is a flame there, though Alex is admittedly a damaged character that will have a hard time in the love department.

Most importantly, she lets us know that Alex will eventually graduate into a full butt-kicking agent one day.

You can catch Nikita on Thursday nights at 8PM on The CW.

Lyndsy Fonseca, girlfriend to Aaron Johnson’s title character in “Kick-Ass” and star of the TV spy drama “Nikita”, disappointed fans at New York’s Comic-Con by predicting that any sequel to director Matthew Vaughn’s big-screen adaptation of Mark Millar’s “Kick-Ass” comic has been pushed back due to the busy workloads of Vaughn, currently shooting “X-Men: First Class,” Hit-Girl actress Chloë Moretz and Johnson.

“It’s going to be a while if it does happen. Everyone’s kind of working on other things, and there needs to be more issues of the comic before there’s material to do another movie. So wait and see.”

Meanwhile, Millar continued to fan fans’ hopes via his newly published “Kick-Ass 2” series in “CLiNT” magazine, and talk of his plans and what a “Kick-Ass” sequel would be if and when it happens.

“The idea of “Kick-Ass” was: what would happen if people in the real world tried to become superheroes?” Millar said in an earlier interview. “The second one is: what if people tried to be bad guys as a reaction to the superheroes? It’s just that simple: The same way these guys were contacting each other on Facebook and trying out superhero costumes, what if bad kids started to do this? You’ve got these horrible “Clockwork Orange” kind of scenario going on, where these kids are happy-slapping; out there with their mobile phones, dresses up as villains doing horrible things to people, recording it and putting it online.”

Place your bets on Millar’s words of encouragement vs. Fonseca’s sour predicament. Will “Kick-Ass 2” happen? I for one say, yes. Then again, I’m one of those positive thinking fan boys.

Speculation regarding who will direct the adaptation for Suzanne Collins’ hit series, “The Hunger Games,” has already hit a fever pitch, but casting rumors have been kept at a pretty subtle whisper.

Of course, fans have been campaigning in all caps throughout the interwebs for some of their favorite actresses to land the coveted lead role of tough teen Katniss Everdeen. Among them have been Hit-Girl Chloe Moretz, Dakota Fanning, “Skins” star Kaya Scodelario and “Nikita”‘s Lyndsy Fonseca

Well, believe it or not, we scored a little news during this weekend’s New York Comic Con…

Fonseca has the “Hunger Games” script in hand and will be reading it this week.

“I actually just got sent the script,” she tells NextMovie. “I haven’t read it yet. We’ll see. I’m actually flying to L.A. on Tuesday because I’ve been in ‘Nikita’ world – I don’t have any time off. But I have a week off now for the first time in two or three months and I’ve got a stack of scripts to get through. I know very little about it. I’ll talk to you after I read it.”

Needless to say, we imagine she’ll like what she reads.

Actress Lyndsy Fonseca attended the 2010 New York Comic Con at the Jacob Javitz Center on October 10, 2010 in New York City. She looked amazing posing next to “Nikita” co-stars Maggie Q and Shane West.

Season 1: “The Guardian
NIKITA MEETS HER MATCH — Divison’s secrets are at risk of being revealed to the world when Owen (guest star Devon Sawa, “Final Destination”), a Division operative, escapes from a bank robbery and becomes a fugitive. Percy (Xander Berkeley) decides to search for Owen himself, which makes Michael (Shane West) suspicious of his motives. Nikita (Maggie Q) and Owen go head-to-head until Percy joins them for a tense standoff. Things are getting good with this series! Admin Note: Sadly, there are no stills yet that feature Lyndsy.
