Every week on Nikita, we watch Lyndsy Fonseca portray Nikita’s Division mole, Alex. Lyndsy was kind enough to speak to TV Fanatic about all things Alex and Nikita. Every question that has lingered up to this date will be answered.

While you might think she’s a tough girl based on her acting, she’s actually incredibly sweet! In this interview, the 24-year-old talks to me about her character, the fate of Alex’s relationships, Jaden, Percy, and so much more!

Talk to me about Alex today vs. Alex at the beginning of the season.

Oh my gosh. She’s had quite a journey. I think the biggest difference is that in the beginning of the season I don’t think she had a reason to live. She didn’t care what happened to her. Now she’s grown up and found things to fight for, and she has a passionate decision to make now. It’s crazy what she’s been through in one year. [laughs]

Lyndsy’s awaited scans in March’s Shape Magazine are finally here, I’ve just added them to the gallery. She looks gorgeous and I think the photos may get used in our next layout change!

I’ve also just finished the captures from tonight’s episode, it was fantastic! My favorite by far. With it’s twists it makes me eager for next’s week, there is some serious badassery going on in this show!

After premiering in Toronto this past summer and a UK release last month, John Carpenter’s return to feature filmmaking has finally secured U.S. distribution!

ARC entertainment, partnered with XLrator Media have acquired the film, which sees genre starlet Amber Heard (ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, DRIVE ANGRY) confined to the titular section of a mental institution in the 1960’s, one that’s set upon by an evil spectre.

XLrator Media’s Barry Gordon said, “We are proud to be a part of John Carpenter’s long-awaited return to the big screen. John is one of the most renowned filmmakers in the world and THE WARD is a great addition to an already legendary career.”

“We’re thrilled to find a vibrant home with ARC Entertainment and XLrator Media, a partnership that is fast being recognized as a place where innovation in marketing and distribution is happening,” said producer Mike Marcus, of Echo Lake Entertainment. “Their excitement for the film, combined with their creative approach to bringing this film to audiences, makes them the perfect partner to release this film.”

No word yet on a date, or the size of release, but this is exciting nonetheless!

ALEX’S PAST CATCHES UP TO HER — While out on a mission for Division, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) runs into Irina (guest star Ksenia Solo), a woman from her past. Alex tries to help Irina break free from her captor, but her old friend double crosses her and turns Alex over to Vlad (guest star Mark Ivanir), a Russian mobster, with a debt to settle. Nikita (Maggie Q) realizes Alex is in trouble and sets out to save her but runs into Michael who is searching for his missing agent. Realizing she can’t compromise Alex’s secret, Maggie must find a way to work with Michael to save Alex without getting her friend killed by Division.

Sorry, this was posted like a million days ago (Feb 4th) on KSiteTV. I’ve been a little behind with them sadly.

AMANDA INTERROGATES ALEX — In order to speed up her healing, Amanda (Melinda Clarke) sedates Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) after her last mission then takes advantage of Alex’s drugged condition to question her about the secrets Amanda believes Alex is keeping. Nikita (Maggie Q) realizes Alex is in danger and tries to secure her another identity to smuggle her out of the country. However, Nikita’s contact double-crosses her and she comes face to face with a surprising opponent. Meanwhile, Michael (Shane West) becomes suspicious of Alex and asks Birkhoff (guest star Aaron Stanford) to investigate her.

Now that Alex has settled into her new life and we’ve settled into the new direction of Nikita, it’s time to get back to what this show does best: secrets, lies and a healthy dose of action.

In voiceover, Alex gives us (and Nikita) the specifics of her first mission as a full-fledged Division agent: assassinating Prince Eric of Georgia at a museum get-together, taking orders from Brendan Fehr from Roswell. When prompted, she also tells Nikita that Michael hasn’t asked about her lately (in an operational context, of course), but when she asks Nikita what the deal is between them, Nikita brushes past that to focus on screwing up this latest mission.

Alex later runs into Michael, who’s busy repairing all the damage done from Nikita’s escape in the midseason finale. (That’s right, Division has not magically fixed itself in the last two weeks.) He warns her that there’s no such thing as an easy mission, something Nikita echoes while the two women decide that the Georgian director of intelligence is the most likely to profit from the prince’s death. You have to love the Disney references that they work into this scene. It’s not like we weren’t all thinking that when they told us the prince’s name was Eric. With their plan figured out, Nikita arrives at the gala, getting close to Princess Kristina so that she can pass on the message that her husband’s life is in danger within the hour. Unfortunately for Nikita, the princess is in on the plan, and she ends up Tased. So much for true love.

Question: Can you give us some Michael/Nikita scoop? —Rachel
Ausiello: Would you settle for Michael/Alex instead? I have a gut feeling those two crazy kids will be hooking up soon, something Lyndsy Fonseca would neither confirm nor deny when TVLine’s Megan Masters caught up with her last week. “If something were to happen between Michael an Alex,” she mused, “I think it would take over a few episodes. They wouldn’t just make out.”
